Infiniti
says there are a number of Chinese influences in the design, such as the fluid
movement and the delicate gradation of the body, said to have been inspired by
traditional Chinese calligraphy and landscape paintings.
The
front end borrows many design cues from the Q80 Inspiration concept, with a
muscular form and a wide grille that spans the entire gap between diminutive
headlights and pronounced air intakes. Fender curves wrap around the tire,
reinforcing the aggressive stance.
The "flesh and
bones" Vision GT concept car was showcased at the Infiniti Design Night
ahead of Auto Shanghai 2015, though it will likely make its way to other global
auto shows in the year ahead.
