Plans are underway to introduce a new crossover to Mitsubishi’s
line of automobiles in the near future. Mitsubishi Motors North America
executive vice president Don Swearingen said at an interview with AutoGuide at
the New York Auto Show that Mitsubishi is “studying a bigger crossover. Those
studies are nearing an end. We haven’t made a decision if we’ll be bringing it
to the US, but those studies will be concluded in the next six months.” Click for more images
Swearingen further confirmed that focus is more on plug-in hybrids
moving forward and also gave a hint that any new model is likely to get a PHEV
powertrain option.
