A three-pointed star emblem on the hood reminds
both passengers and on-lookers that Maybach is a sub-brand of the
Stuttgart-based company.
The 6 in the concept's name signals that it's
nearly six meters (236) inches from bumper to bumper. In comparison, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe measures 198
inches long, while the Rolls-Royce Wraith checks in at 207
inches. Odds are the concept will be lighter than its size suggests thanks to
the use of lightweight material.
Stay tuned, Mercedes-Maybach will introduce its
next concept this weekend during the car-related festivities that will take place
on the outskirts of Monterey, California. And while the 6 will be presented as
merely a concept, British magazine Auto Express has learned that it will be slightly toned down and
added to the Mercedes-Maybach lineup next year as a regular-production model.
Technical details aren't available yet, but the production model will be as
long as the coupe.
